Krasnodar, 3 February. The construction of one of the biggest dairy units is nearing completion in Kanevsky Rayon. The mega-farm bought over a thousand heifers. At present, the second phase is close to completion. When finished, it will apply state-of-the-art animal husbandry and dairy technologies and open up 175 new jobs. The project costs 2.7 billion roubles.
“In 2018, I visited this farm during my visit to the municipality,” Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said. “Even at that time it was one of the most up-to-date dairy farms in the region, aimed at expansion of its production capacities. In 2020, the construction of a new 3,000-head began. When completed, it will contribute to the fulfilment of a strategic task – to increase the production of milk in the [Kuban] region to over two million tons a year by 2030.”
Mr. Kondratiev stressed that dairy farming is a priority agricultural branch for the region. In 2022, 2.1 billion roubles were assigned for its development.
