School Eateries Need Repair

Krasnodar, 2 February. Thirty-one school eating units need repair in the Kuban region. The repair works will cost 167 million roubles. The issue of school eateries was raised during the conference with deputy municipal heads chaired over by Vice Governor Anna Minkova. According to the regional administration’s press service, last year 21 school eating units underwent repairs. The plan for 2022 is 20 eating units. 

“At present, five Kuban schools do not have eating units. The meals come from outside. Last year, design specifications and estimates were prepared for four of them; now the designs are undergoing state expert examination,” Anna Minkova announced. 

This year, over 315,000 junior pupils of 1,134 Kuban schools are served hot meals at school. According to Tatiana Grechanaya, Deputy Head of the regional Administration of the Federal Service on Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Wellbeing, the list of main violations revealed during audits included food technology and serving temperature failures, and incompliance with the sanitary and anti-epidemic regime.
