Krasnodar, 25 January. Nearly 1,800 social workers in the Kuban region have reportedly applied for a local mortgage grant.
Its amount is one million roubles, and it is spread on medical and educational workers. The new social support is available for Kuban residents that have lived in the region for at least ten years, do not have own housing, or with a housing area less than ten square metres per family member.
According to the regional press service, this year 300 physicians, teachers and social workers will receive the grant. It is to remain valid in 2023. The grant can be used as the first installment for the mortgage payment to buy accommodation in either primary or secondary market, to build a new or reconstruct the existing house.
Presently, the regional authorities are forming lists of applicants for the grant. The application deadline for officers and public servants of institutions supervised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development expired on January 20. In total, about 1,800 applicants had been registered. Now, by February 1 the lists are to be submitted to the Ministry. The payments will be granted by the Kuban Centre for Governmental Support of Population and Development of Financial market to earliest applicants that have complied with all necessary conditions.
