Krasnodar, 10 December. The Sochi Riviera Park will be transformed in the upcoming municipal Year of Ecology.
Works’ progress was inspected by the head of the city, Alexei Kopaigorodsky.
- The park is one of the main attractions of our city. It must please our guests all year round. And it is important to keep the balance between historical heritage and innovation, - said the Mayor of Sochi, Alexey Kopaygorodsky.
In the park, the overhaul of the Green Theatre is also planned. The building will be decorated with unusual structures with plants, and covered with a roof, which will make it possible to hold concerts all year round in any weather conditions. A landscaping and planting project for the rose garden is being completed too.
As part of the Year of Ecology, two new playgrounds made of environmentally friendly materials will appear in the park this winter. Also a new eco-zone will be opened in the park, it will be decorated with sculptures made of recycled materials. Outdoor percussion instruments will be installed in the promenade.
