Krasnodar, 23 November. The bad weather and tourist commotion have affected the inflation in Krasnodar krai, the Southern Directorate of the Central Bank of Russia reported.

According to the Bank, the yearly inflation in the Kuban region grew up in September by 8%, and in October it equalled 9.1% – first of all, due to the growing expenses of the manufacturers because of the cold autumn and soaring tourist flow.

“The number of holidaymakers arriving at the Kuban region over the ten months of this year is by 1.5 times higher than in the same period last year,” Deputy Director of the Southern Directorate of the Central Bank of Russia Aleksandr Gostev stated. “The active flow of tourists remains a growth driver not only for the regional economy but also for certain inflation parameters. Before the nonworking days in November, the demand for the Kuban resorts had increased which caused the price of air tickets to soar.”
