Krasnodar, 28 September. Vice Governor Anna Minkova has reportedly held a conference devoted to the organization of school meals.
A special menu bank was formed for schoolchildren before the beginning of the new school year. Ms. Minkova said that various variants of the meals had been discussed with the parents, so that now the schools should keep to the approved menus. She ordered that the municipalities should permanently inform the parents about the school menus by placing them on the schools’ websites, and the regional Ministry of Education should develop a comprehensible algorithm of checkups.
“We have ensured a multilevel control of school meals through school boards and parent activists,” she said.
Presently, 305,000 schoolchildren receive hot meals at schools. According to Tatiana Grechanaya, Deputy Head of the regional branch of the Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, their agency is resuming random checks of school canteens and their suppliers. A special attention will be paid to the organization of meals for physically challenged children.
