Krasnodar, 4 August. He COVID-19 morbidity rate has reportedly grown by 9% in Krasnodar krai. Every day, over 260 new cases of the coronavirus infection are registered in the region. Females are reported to be affected twice as frequently as males. At the same time, the sickness rate at the Black Sea coast reduced by 7.5%, compared with the previous week.

On August 1, the monitoring groups began to work in the region. They are controlling the observance of the new rules of hotels, health resorts and spas. The groups consists of executives of the regional Ministry of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage, municipalities and law enforcement bodies.

Maria Zolotukhina, acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage, said that the continuation of the season will much depend upon the holidaymakers’ conscientiousness: “We hope that our guests will show a conscious approach to this issue and will not break the rules established in the Kuban region.”

Currently, there are 332 vaccination points in the region, including 99 mobile points. Twenty-four points are working for the residents of remote settlements. Most of the mobile points are located in holiday resorts – in Sochi, Anapa, Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik. Tourists can apply to any point to get the vaccine.
