Krasnodar, 3 August. Last week, Russian Vice Prime Minister Murat Khusnullin chaired over a video session of the Presidium of the Governmental Commission on Regional Development. Mr. Khusnullin was in Krasnodar with a working visit. Krasnodar krai was the first region of the Southern Federal District visited by him in the capacity of a federal supervisor.

During the session, Marat Khusnullin noted that the Russian Government had approved the rules of soft budget credits for infrastructural development. By 2024, 500 billion roubles will be allocated for this purpose. One of the main requirements to the applicants is the volume of invited extrabudgetary resources which should not be less than the credit itself. In addition to that, the amount of the future additional tax revenues may not be lower than the servicing costs.

Krasnodar krai will have to submit applications on all scheduled projects by October 1.

“The money can be used for the repair and construction of roads, public utilities, industrial parks, and development of the tourist sphere,” Mr. Khusnullin said.

Following the results of the video conference, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted that Krasnodar krai was allocated one of the biggest sums of soft budget credits nationwide.
