Krasnodar, 23 June. Speaking at a session of the Council of the President’s Plenipotentiary in the Southern Federal District, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced that Krasnodar krai will need financial support of the federal centre to provide schoolchildren with hot meals.
“The total sum needed to spend on free hot meals for junior pupils this year is 3.6 billion roubles. The federal budget has assigned 2.6 billion. We would like to ask to evaluate increase of the financial support,” Mr. Kondratiev stressed.
According to the regional administration, the regional budget has already taken measures to increase the expenditures on schoolchildren nutrition. It will additionally allocate nearly 400 million roubles for two meals daily free of charge for children with disabilities.
The municipalities will be receiving this support starting from January 2022. In his turn, President’s Plenipotentiary Vladimir Ustinov said that the main points made last year by inspectors about children’s meals were about the wear and tear of canteens and poor organization of the process
