Krasnodar, 14 April. One hundred and twenty-five Cossacks of the Kuban Cossack Host will reportedly take part in the Victory Parade to be held on May in Red Square, Moscow.

The Cossacks to march in front of the Kremlin belong to the Batalpashinsk, Yeisk, Yekaterinodar, Kavkazsky, Labinsk, Maikop and Taman Detachments, and the Black Sea District. “The Cossacks were doing marching drills in the Kuban region for a month. In Moscow, they will take part in 12 drills. Along Red Square on May 9, they will be marching in full dress of the Kuban Cossack Host. The ceremonial units will be headed by Nikolai Doluda, Ataman of the all-Russian Cossack Society,” Vice Governor Aleksandr Vlasov said.

Together with Kuban Cossacks, a unit of the Don Cossack Host will march along Red Square. The dress rehearsal for all Cossack detachments is scheduled for May 7.

The Cossacks have been taking part in ceremonial marches dedicated to V’Day since 2020. This initiative was backed by Ministry of Defence and Presidential Council on Cossack Affairs.
