Krasnodar, 9 March. Thirty-five wells of the Divnomorsky Water Catchment Area will reportedly be examined during this month in Gelendzhik.
This work is being performed in the framework of the concept aimed at solution of the problem of water supply.
“It will allow us to evaluate the technical state of the wells and decide on the repair works needed. The latest precipitation helped us a lot – the rivers are full, and there are no problems with water supply in the city. The surveys will not affect the process of water supply,” Vice Governor Aleksandr Trembitsky noted. In addition to that, several extension wells have been drilled in the city. The total number of such holes suggested by Rosgeologiya (Russian Geological Exploration Holding) will be 22.
In near future, the construction of a new three-kilometre-long water pipeline will begin in the city. This facility will join together two clean water reservoirs in the central part of the city and let distribute the incoming water to all residential neighbourhoods.
“All these activities are aimed at maintaining the situation at stable level before the beginning of the summer season,” Mr. Trembitsky said.
