Krasnodar, 26 February. Last week, a session of the local Council on development of spa and tourist complex was held in Sochi.
“The current epidemiological situation permits us to draw optimistic forecasts regarding the upcoming summer season,” Mayor Aleksei Kopaigorodsky said. “We are looking forward to receiving over four million holidaymakers in May – September, which is why we have to offer them safe and comfortable conditions for recreation and high service levels in hotels and spas, and guarantee eco-friendliness of the urban environment.”
This summer, there will be about 200 specially equipped beaches in Sochi. The participants of the meeting also discussed developments of new touristic elements in spas and hotels, and suggested that hotel owners consider a possibility of opening pump-rooms with local mineral waters in their campuses. Besides, sea taxi service will be inaugurated by the beginning of the summer season. The first trial voyages are scheduled for May. Two high-speed twenty-seat cutters will be plying from Sochi Seaport to Lazarevskoe and Imeretinsky Port. The holidaymakers will also be able to go in for new sightseeing tours.
