Krasnodar, 24 February. Over two hundred proactive projects were reportedly implemented in Novorossiysk last year.
The city’s socio-economic development in 2020 was reviewed last week at an open session of the City Duma. The session was attended by Vice Governor Igor Chagaev who said that Novorossiysk became the first city in the region to introduce participatory budgeting.
“Owing to the program, 19 children’s playgrounds were renovated, Admiral Serebriakov Embankment was landscaped, the premises of the Veterans’ Council and the military monument in Myskhako were repaired,” he listed. In total, more than 200 proactive projects were implemented in Novorossiysk last year. Mayor Igor Diachenko reported that in 2020 the municipality took an active part in national projects and regional governmental programs.
“If back in 2016 we raised 3 billion roubles from the regional budget, in 2020 the sum reached 6 billion roubles. The regional support was spent for construction of educational institutions, roads and sports facilities in the city and its rural districts,” he added.
