Krasnodar, 15 January. During the winter holidays, the hotel occupancy in the mountain cluster of Krasnodar krai averaged to 85%.
The record number of visitors was recorded in Sochi’s mountain resorts on the night from January 3 to 4. At the same time, the winter season is going off routinely, the regional Ministry of Resorts’ press service reported. All resource supplying companies are working stably.
“Over a day from January 3 to 4, over 20,000 cars entered the resort city; last year, the record figure was a little more than 16,000 vehicles. It is a serious growth, but the most important thing is that it does not cause transport collapses. We together with the city’s law enforcement bodies, traffic police and road services have perfected the mechanisms that let us cope with them,” Vice Governor Aleksandr Ruppel noted.
He also said that there have been no cases of coronavirus infection registered among the holidaymakers coming to Sochi. All reserves of the city’s COVID-19 hospitals and observation facilities have been put on alert.
