Krasnodar, 30 December. A new military registration and enlistment office has reportedly been opened in Anapa. It is a two-storey building that meets all modern requirements.
According to a directive by the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, the office will commence work in January 2021. At the opening ceremony, it was announced that it is the first military registration office built in Russia in several decades.
“Today is a historic day,” Aleksandr Kuznetsov, Chief Enlistment Officer of Krasnodar krai, stressed in his speech. “It was the statecraft shown by the Governor, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, and Anapa City Mayor that let us open this office, one of the best of its kind in Russia.”
The previous military registration and enlistment office was acknowledged a dangerous building five years ago and then it was closed. Annually, about 3,500 conscripts together with the call-up commission had to travel to the neighbouring city of Temriuk. Now Anapa has reacquired its own military registration office.
