Krasnodar, 23 December. Sochi has reportedly obtained its own tourist brand, which sounds as “Feel once, come back always!”
The brand had been developed for six months by professionals in branding and Mayor’s Office experts. Then the concept was approved by a pool of architects, designers, public activists, and tourist industry workers.
“Every high-end product or service has its own brand which not only speaks of the serious attitude of its creators to what they do but also helps people remember and associate the product. The product of our resort city includes great possibilities of our spas in recreation and health improvement, a warm sea, and alpine skiing facilities,” Sochi Mayor Aleksei Kopaigorodsky said during the presentation ceremony.
The brand represents a graphic image of a rotunda – an arbour surrounded with pillars. On one hand, this is a reference to the city’s architecture. On the other hand, the pillars’ shape resembles palms, a landmark symbol of the city that is located on its emblem. The lower part of the visual brand consists of the word ‘Sochi’ and a graphic image of a sea wave.
The brand will be used to promote the city’s resort industry at international and national tourist exhibitions and fairs.
