Krasnodar, 25 August. Due to the current epidemiological situation and heightened alert mode in Krasnodar krai, the Agro Tour 2020 Fair was held in small format.
A small presentation of handicraft works – dishes and other kitchen utensils, toys and Cossack domestic implements – was displayed in the foyer of the exhibition.
Its agenda also included the awarding ceremony of the winners of the regional competition of best rural tourism destination. The prizewinners were greeted by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev and Legislative Assembly Chairman Yuri Burlachko.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Kondratiev noted that handicrafts and rural tourism are of great importance for the region.
“It is important to preserve our culture, faith and traditions that are clear for our souls – the thread that connects us all,” he stressed.
Mr. Burlachko said that agricultural tourism has bright prospects in the region, because what the holidaymakers need are not only beaches but also impressions.
“Kuban is the only Russian region that has legally determined the notion ‘rural tourism.’ Now both the quality and the number of services in this sphere have improved. Gastronomic, wine and environmental tourisms are developing equally well,” he noted.
