Evaluation System for Spas

Krasnodar, 20 August. Single standards may reportedly be introduced for spas and recreation facilities in Krasnodar krai, Minister of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage Svetlana Balaeva announced last week. 

“This system resembles the usual hotel classification, appropriation of stars, but taking into account the level and the quality of spa and resort services. The introduction of this system will help our guests get better oriented in the variety of [resort] facilities, and take the right decision when choosing the destination for recreation and health improvement. We consider it necessary to develop at the federal level the single classifier and to make it compulsory. We have already submitted our proposals on the contents of this classifier to the Ministry of Health Care,” Ms. Balaeva said. 

She also proposed to create a single digital platform to cover the information on opportunities for treatment, prevention and rehabilitation on the basis of Russian health resorts and spas. 

On the average, Kuban health resorts receive about 1.5 million holidaymakers a year.
