Krasnodar, 4 August. The coronavirus sick rate has steeply grown in Krasnodar krai of late.
On the weekend, the number of new patients had for the first time exceeded 100. Last Saturday, the number was 99; on Sunday – 107; and on Monday – 113. The ages of the patients varies from several month-old babies to 90+ year-old retirees. The cases were identified in different cities and rayons.
According to the regional Ministry of Health Care, the morbidity rate is 151.3 cases per 100,000 citizens; 7,353 patients have recovered; 117 patients have died. Thirty-three patients are in serious condition – they are switched to artificial lung ventilation; three patients are undergoing extracorporal membrane oxygenation.
Svetlana Kharlamova, Head of the Public Health Care Department of Krasnodar Mayor’s Office, was quoted as calling the epidemiological situation in the city as “stably tense.” “We, together with the Agency for Health and Consumer Rights’ employees and regional Health Care Ministry, continue to work with the persons who were in close contact with the diseased,” she stated.
