Krasnodar, 26 June. Twenty-one beaches in Sochi have reportedly been awarded with an international prize.

According to the Association of Russian Tourist Operators, this year the Blue Flag was given to 24 Russian beaches, compared to 13 last year. The candidates for this prize had been selected by about 30 parameters, such as accessibility of the environment, ecology, safety, etc.

“In the near future, the city will get the eco-certificates and the blue flags, and the beaches will be marked on the special map of the world’s most comfortable and recommended beaches,” the regional Ministry for Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage released.
