Krasnodar, 19 June. The preparatory stage of the construction of sewage treatment facilities and deep release outlet has reportedly begun in Gelendzhik. According to the permit issued by the federal Ministry of Construction, the city authorities will proceed to the construction in the nearest future.

Commenting on the news, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said that the construction of up-to-date sewage treatment facilities is part of the city’s integrated development plan, and another step towards turning Gelendzhik into a world-level resort.

The project is supported by the federal budget, which has allocated 2.7 billion roubles that must be spent in 2020–2021. The works will be performed in the framework of a concessionary agreement.

The 68,480 sq m land plot will locate a wastewater treatment facility, an effluent sludge mechanical dehumidification and drying facility, a sewerage pump station, two force mains, two discharge lines for treated and disinfected waters, a deep release outlet, and other auxiliary constructions.
