New Junctions to Relieve Roads in Krasnodar

Krasnodar, 1 April. The regional budget will reportedly allocate 27.3 billion roubles for the implementation of three motor road mega-projects. 

The situation with the problematic roads in Krasnodar was studied in 2019 by the request of the regional Ministry of Transport. As a result, three most heavily loaded road sectors were identified: the intersection of Ofitserskaya and Kommunarov streets and Rostov highway; the intersection of Moskovskaya and 40-letiya Pobedy streets; and the intersection of Solnechnaya and Moskovskaya streets and Rostov highway. 

Based on the results of this survey, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev took a decision to project new flyovers in these three sites. The Solnechnaya flyover is to be the most expensive project, with exiting to Stakhanovskaya street and elevating Solnechnaya street to the second level. 

The estimated cost of the flyover between Ofitserskaya and Kommunarov streets and Rostov highway is about 6.7 billion roubles. The flyover will allow the drivers to access directly Ofitserskaya street.
