Krasnodar, 24 March. Our today’s guest is Stanislav Nikolenko, Chair of the Board of Directors of YugStroyImperial Construction Company.
Q.: What trends in the construction industry are currently typical for Krasnodar?
A.: Krasnodar krai is one of the most attractive regions in Russia. Over the last couple of years, Krasnodar has turned into a city with over a million dwellers showing a colossal increase in population over a short period of time. Thereby, it is easy to suppose that the constructors will soon be facing huge amounts of work. Besides, the need to increase the quantities of deliverable housing facilities is shown in the national projects, and it correlates with declarations made by the regional authorities.
Q.: How many projects is your company dealing with?
A.: According to the Unified Register of Construction Companies, YugStroyImperial tops the list of the biggest construction companies in the region. We are the seventh biggest construction company nationwide. As on now, we have sold 4,200 flats and built 17 high-rise residential buildings. The total area of our projects exceeds 1,500,000 sq m. We are dealing with 17 projects – they are high-rise blocks in Krasnodar, at the Black Sea coast, and a cottage eco-town in Seversky rayon.
Q.: When somebody buys a flat, they always hope to get a convenient infrastructure. What do you do in this respect?
A.: Whenever we build a high-rise block, we always pay peculiar attention to its infrastructure: what has already been built, and what else has to be built. For instance, in the township of Loris, YugStroyImperial took part in the landscaping of the public garden, now called Inspiration. Last year, a boulevard was laid next to the Imperial Housing Estate. Next to the Turgenev Housing Estate, we made a boulevard with a fountain and a monument to the writer [Ivan Turgenev]. Now it has become a favourite place for the townsfolk to stroll about and do photo sessions. By the way, last year the estate itself was awarded a gold medal at the 7th international festival, Days of Architecture.
Q.: Your Company is known to actively support sports in our region. Why do you do it, and in what events are you involved?
A.: Our main achievement is the completion of the construction of the Imperial Boxing and Wrestling School. It was inaugurated last February with participation of the regional authority and world-class athletes. This 400-square-metre sport zone is an up-to-date two-storey building. It will be used free of charge by kids of 10 years of age and above. In general, we often participate in sport contests and always try to pay attention to popularise sports in the youth environment. In his recent annual report, Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshov mentioned YugStroyImperial as one of the companies that actively sponsor sports and education of younger generations. It was very nice to receive such a high appreciation of our work.
