Krasnodar, 13 December – Yug Times. Kuban has entered the trio of the Russian regions that receive highest grants from the Russian Government.
The Cabinet of Ministers has reportedly distributed 45 billion roubles among the 50 Russian regions whose leadership proved their efficient work in 2019. The three best regions were Crimea, St. Petersburg, and Krasnodar province. Over 1.46 billion roubles have been allocated to the Kuban region.
Commenting on the news, the Kuban governor Veniamin Kondratiev said that the money will be spent for the development of the regional economy and social sphere and implementation of national projects. The successful implementation of national projects was one of the key factors taken into account when distributing the subsidies.
In particular, the Kuban region finished the road repair works within the program, “Safe and high-quality roads” two months ahead of schedule. The national project “Culture” has also been fully completed in the region. The two-year-long program of re-settling from slum dwellings is also being fulfilled ahead of a schedule.
