Krasnodar, 8 October – Yug Times. Over the past three years, German peaking about the current conscription campaign, Chief Enlistment Officer of Krasnodar province Aleksandr Kuznetsov announced that 6,000 recruits from the region will join the army this autumn.
“Traditionally, Krasnodar province conscripts more young men than any other Russian region. Last spring, 6,400 men joined the army,” he said.
The units belonging to the Ministry of Defence will get about 5,000 conscripts from Kuban; the rest will go to other military formation – in particular, the National Guards, and the Federal Guard Service of the Russian Federation. About 300 conscripts will go to the Cossack detachments located in Novorossiysk, Afipsky, Maikop, and Abkhazia. The first arrival of the conscripts to the regional assembly post is scheduled on 14 October. According to Aleksandr Kuznetsov, all administrative arrangements are being performed well in advance. He noted the activity presented in Novorossiysk, Armavir, Kropotkin, Slaviansk-on-Kuban, and Temriuk.
He also stressed that military-patriotic education of young people stays at the high level, and the region shows the highest fitness degree for service in Russia – nearly 82%.
