Krasnodar, 7 August – Yug Times. The sewage collector in Krasnodar’s Yubileiny residential neighbourhood will reportedly be repaired for the first time in forty years.
The works began on 5 August and they will last for three months. “This collector has worked for over forty years, and of course it needs upgrading,” City Mayor Yevgeni Pervyshev said. “It will be repaired without switching off the consumers. It is necessary to state that a significant part of the sewer is laid along private households, which is why the dwellers must be warned of the scheduled work. But the most important task is to complete it well on schedule.”
The project provides for the sanitation of 320 m of the sewerage collector. In fact, a new sewer line will be laid: the worn pipes will be changed with up-to-date plastic ones. Besides, the old sewage wells will also be restored. Upon upgrading, the sewerage will be able to work trouble-free and fully cope with the volumes of discharged water.
