Krasnodar, 11 July – Yug Times. A hunt for photographers who exploit wild animals has reportedly been announced in the seaside resorts of Krasnodar province.
In Anapa, several ‘businessmen’ were detained who were trying to make money by offering tourists to get a photo with monkeys, eagles and macaws. The animals and birds had been in direct sun all day. The tormentors will have to pay a penalty, and the animals were handed over to the zoo in the village of Vityazevo.
Also in Anapa, four barn owls were rescued. It is an endangered species, protected by the UNESCO convention.
At Pionersky prospect in Anapa, an African lion cub was seized from a photographer.
In Gelendzhik, a macaw, lizard, two monkeys and a raccoon were rescued and handed over to a contact zoo in Arkhipo-Osipovka.
In Sochi, a little lioness, parrots and monkeys were seized from knackers.
