Krasnodar, 15 May – Yug Times. Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev has reported about the fulfilment of the national project, “International cooperation and export.”
According to Mr. Kondratiev, by 2024 the Kuban region will have to increase the export volumes of agricultural products to USD 3.8 billion. Presently, Krasnodar region exports grains to 80 countries throughout the world. In the context of the national project, the export volumes are to be increased by 21%. At the expense of elite seeds, introduction of scientific technologies, rehabilitation and construction of land-improvement facilities, the production of oil-yielding crops may reach 2.3 million tons.
Mr. Kondratiev added that the region may also expand the assortment of non-resource exports, in particular, processed oils. The national project, “International cooperation and export” is aimed to reach a 20% share of exports of processed products, agricultural products and services in the GDP, and to raise the volumes of non-resource and non-power exports to USD 250 billion.
