Krasnodar, 21 March – Yug Times. Q.: How are the President’s strategic initiatives in the framework of 12 national projects being fulfilled at the regional level?
A.: This year will be the decisive time in many respects. Our region, as well as other Russian regions, is launching a series of significant projects, whose fulfillment should bring about a nationally important result. During the following six years, we must ensure a qualitative breakthrough in the national development.
According to the [Presidential] decree, our efforts must be focused on the problems of demography, public health, education, science and culture, housing and urban development, safe and high-quality motor roads, labour productivity and employment support, digital economy, ecology, small and midsize business, support of individual entrepreneurships, international cooperation and export.
We will provide severest control over the fulfillment of the projects. We must achieve efficient results over the future six years. What is at issue is not paperwork - the people themselves must see changes for the better. It’s they who will make value judgments about our work.
