Krasnodar, 23 November – Yug Times. By the end of 2020, the emergency public warning system will be upgraded in seven municipalities of the Krasnodar region.
The regional program “Ensuring of public safety” is reported to provide the allocation of 225.6 million roubles for this purpose.
According to the regional Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations, currently there are 1,342 sirens, 107 voiced alert devices, and 498 local emergency public warning systems working in the region. As on now, the regional computerised public warning system has been upgraded in 22 cities and municipalities.
The installation of new up-to-date equipment allows to better react to possible natural disasters and inform the population.
By mid-December, 57 new sirens and voiced alert devices will additionally be placed in Goriachy Kluch and Seversky district. In 2020, the warning system will be upgraded in Korenovsk and Krylovsky districts with 59 new warning devices.
