Krasnodar, 20 November – Yug Times. A Spanish company plans to build a wind power station in the Temriuk district. During their visit of the municipality, Elawan Energy executives approved the site for the future power station in the Taman peninsula. It will be built in Beregovoi settlement, Temriuk district, and will consist of 30 wind-driven power plants of the capacity of 3 MW each, so the station’s total capacity will reach 90 MW.
“The power generated by the wind station will suffice for an annual power consumption of [the city of] Temriuk,” Aleksei Rudakov, director of the Wind Generating Company JSC, said. “Taking into account that currently there are no power generating facilities in the Taman peninsula, and the transit lines to Crimea are not used to supply the Temriuk district, this power generating plant would of course have both economic and social effects.”
At the current stage, the documents for the land parcel are being prepared; the electric power delivery scheme has already been developed and approved by respective ministries, and the permit of the Ministry of Transport for the location of the wind power station from the viewpoint of safety of air flights has been received.
