Krasnodar, 7 November – Yug Times. The Novorossiysk authorities have decided to remove the Mikhail Kutuzov ship from the city seafront. The cruiser-museum is going to be repaired. Now the side erections are being painted.
The divers are checking the forebody of the vessel. In autumn 2019, the Mikhail Kutuzov will be sent for about two months for dock repairs at the Novorossiysk Shipyard.
While the cruiser is at the shipyard, the workers will be repairing the quay.
The Mikhail Kutuzov cruiser was enrolled in the list of the Black Sea Fleet in 1995, and was taken off from the operational strength in 1998. In 2002, the cruiser arrived at Novorossiysk, where it was moored as an affiliation of the Museum of the Black Sea Fleet.
