Krasnodar, 21 September – Yug Times. Twice a year, Moscow plays host to the Collection Premiere Moscow, the most important fashion and design fair in East Europe. At the latest fair that was held on September 4–7, four Kuban manufacturers – Inroka, Vivo, Krasar and Marina – for the first time participated under the common brand ‘Made in Kuban’.
“Our pavilion was the most lively one among all regional producers,” Head of the Section of Chemical and Light Industry of the regional Department for Industrial Policy Yelena Shutenko said commenting on the results of the exhibition.
The idea of uniting Kuban fashion designers under a common brand belonged to the regional Department for Industrial Policy, whose experts considered that the ‘Made in Kuban’ brand should be guarantee of high quality of locally made products as well as a kind of navigator for the customers when choosing the goods to buy.
Thus, by taking part in the Collection Premiere Moscow Krasnodar designers got a chance to rise to a higher level and to represent the entire fashion industry of their region.
The Kuban companies presented models of various market segments: night clothing from Marina, casual wear from Vivo and Inrok, and printed T-shirts from Krasar.
“We can say that our production is fully local, except for the very first technological point – manufacture of the fabrics,” Krasar Director Aleksei Kustov explained. “We have to buy the textile fabrics in Turkey and Uzbekistan.” He added that Krasar is one of the two national leaders in production of printed knitted wear. At the same time, the products made in Krasnodar may rival a number of US brands that are rightfully considered as the world’s trendsetters, say the customers that wear both American and Kuban-made T-shirts.
