Krasnodar, 18 September – Yug Times. Last week, the Krasnodar region celebrated the 81st anniversary of its foundation. On its occasion, the regional capital played host to numerous festive activities. In his solemn speech, Governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted that Kuban is celebrating its birthday as a confident, stable and futureoriented region thankful to the hard work of all its residents.
“Kuban is a great worker! It grows cereals for the entire country with great love and selflessness,” he stressed. “This year, we again had a record yield. I would like to express my words of thankfulness to all those who made their contribution to Russia’s food security.”
Chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly Yuri Burlachko also congratulated the region and its inhabitants upon great success and achievements.
“We see our native Kuban to become nicer and set important records,” he said. “Such results are a fruit of the common work of many generations of Kuban residents.”
On the festive day, many outstanding fellow-citizens that made a considerable contribution to the advancement of the regional economy, education, medicine and agriculture were awarded medals and acknowledgments for their labour.
