Krasnodar, 12 September – Yug Times. A criminal case has reportedly been filed against the regional Minister of Sports. The regional Prosecutor’s Office believes that Ludmila Chernova abused her authority and thereby caused losses to the regional budget in amount of 886 million roubles. In particular, she is believed to have concluded contracts on granting subsidies to the FC Kuban in the years 2012 and 2013 in the framework of the regional program of support of team sports. According to the law on the regional budget money could have been allocated only to non-commercial organisations, while the FC Kuban had been a commercial structure then.
The Prosecutor’s Office cancelled the decision of the Chief Investigative Administration in the Krasnodar region that had reversed the criminal case against Ludmila Chernova by rehabilitating circumstances - due to the lack of corpus delicti in her deeds. The prosecutors resolved that the investigation had been suspended unlawfully and insubstantially.
