Krasnodar, 30 August – Yug Times. Currently, the Krasnodar region is reportedly considering a couple of projects meant to improve the traffic along the seaside highways.
One of these projects is being discussed at the federal Ministry of Transport. What is at issue is the project of a high-speed highway Krasnodar - Tuapse - Adler, with a turn-off to Anapa and Crimea.
Meanwhile, the Ministry on North Caucasus Affairs is discussing a series of other road construction projects in the Kuban region. They believe it is necessary to build a highway to join Sochi and the region of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.
At the same time, the Avtodor Company expressed interest in the construction of the first stage of the high-speed turnpike road Krasnodar - Abinsk - Kabardinka. Besides, four tenders on the repairs, reconstruction and reinforcement of the A-147 Dzhubga - Sochi road have been announced by the Chernomorie Road Directorate. The total cost of all contracts equals to 1.9 billion roubles.
Experts believe that the construction of new motor roads in the region will bring it additional profit, increase the goods turnover and improve the region’s investment appeal.
