Krasnodar, 15 August – Yug Times. A report on the state of the civil society in 2017 was published last week in Krasnodar.
The document was presented to Governor Veniamin Kondratiev by Chair of the regional Civic Chamber Lubov Popova. She noted that according to the federal report on the issue, the regional Civic Chamber ranked among the ten best regional chambers in the country. This result was made possible by the open dialog between power and society. She stressed that the business sector also contributed much to that work. One of the chapters of the report was devoted to practical cooperation between the society, business sector and authorities. The document stated that this cooperation is a mighty resource of the region’s economic advancement. One of examples of such cooperation is the Kuban Credit Bank. Three years ago, it was the only regional bank that initiated the project “Taking care of elder generation”. The goal of the project was to increase the financial competence and safety of the people, and to provide free education and financial advice for the pensioners and veterans in southern Russia. The project has become a unique phenomenon for the Krasnodar region in terms of its comprehensiveness and the number of activities (about a dozen as on now). As a result, the bank actively cooperates with more than a hundred public organisations in the Krasnodar region.
