Krasnodar, 2 August – Yug Times. In the fire that happened on July 30 in Adler, eight people were reported dead. The signal about the burning house at Prosveshchsniya street was received by the emergency service at 5:40 am. The area of the fire was 300 sq m, and it had spread to an adjacent construction by the moment the fire brigade arrived at the site.
The fire-fighters managed to localise the fire by 6:08, but it was completely put out at 7:43 only. Eight people died in the fire, another three, including a 16-year boy, were sent to hospital with burns and injuries. The Investigating Department in the Adler district instituted criminal proceedings on the fact of the loss of people’s lives. Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev presented his condolences to the families of the perished and injured people. He said that it is important not only to establish the cause of the fire but to determine whether the building had complied with fire safety regulations.
