Krasnodar, 20 July – Yug Times. The Yug Times continues its series of publications in the framework of the new season of the Triumph competition.

Yelena Zolotova is not used to stopping somewhere midway, especially when her heart and soul longs for something new and interesting. This is why she is always prepared to new inventions, and to success.

When she graduated from the university, Yelena worked at school, and then by chance she saw a job vacancy seeking for journalists for the local newspaper and radio in Novokubansk. Although the number of applicants was large, she was hired at once. After two years with the radio, Yelena, then 28 years old, founded and headed the local TV station.

Yelena Zolotova never was an office worker; she always worked in the field together with her staff. It came in handy when she was invited to the regional broadcasting station, Kuban.

Then Yelena relocated to Sakhalin.

“It’s here that you know everyone, and everyone knows you - without a CV. But as soon as you go to another region - you are nobody there, nobody knows you and doesn’t want to know you.”

So Yelena had to start from scratch there. But eight years in Sakhalin were not lost on her. She opened a branch of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, after a 15-year-long break after the collapse of the USSR. One day, Kuban Vice Governor Anna Minkova invited her and proposed to head the municipal TV company Krasnodar.
