Krasnodar, 19 July – Yug Times. In the course of personal meetings and joint events held by Chairman of the Investigative Committee Aleksandr Bastrykin and President of the National Medical Chamber Leonid Roshal, the parties agreed to form a provisional workgroup to develop a series of amendments to the Russian Criminal Code.
These amendments are about establishment of peculiar liability of medical staff for the professional crimes. The mission of this workgroup will be to perfect the law enforcement practice to exclude cases of unsubstantiated bringing of physicians to criminal responsibility and, on the other hand, to more efficiently defend patients’ rights from possible incompetent actions of the medical staff.
