Krasnodar, 3 July – Yug Times. After the end of the 2018 World Cup, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Goriachy Kluch, Sochi and several seaside towns of the Tuapse rayon will start to collect the resort fee from the holidaymakers. Despite the fact that after the adoption of the federal law on resort fee the Krasnodar region has conducted a big amount of preparatory work, some issues of the mechanism of collection and expenditure of the new fee have remained unsettled.
Commenting on the issue, Vice Governor Vasili Shvets noted that for the region, “it is important not only to get additional money to be spent for the development of the resorts, but also to make sure that the resort fee would not strain the tourists’ wallets.
In order to settle the disputable moments, director of the Znanie Spa Hotel in Sochi Dmitri Bogdanov proposed to send a delegation to Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol region, to study the experience of the spas that have already begun to collect the fee.
Deputy Minister on North Caucasus Affairs Olga Rukhullaeva supported the idea and noted that the experiment is being successfully implemented in the Stavropol region.
