The solemn ceremony of the laying of the Memory Amphora was held last Saturday in Sennoi, Temriuk rayon. The participants of the ceremony put the text written in Russian and Greek as a message to the offspring into a replica of the ancient amphora, sealed it and placed in custody of the Scientific and Cultural Centre Phanagoria until 2118. The text signed by Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Greece in Russia Andreas Friganas and Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov says that it is the development of tourism that is best of all able to make people closer.
The festival Russia’s Ancient Heritage is being held from June 1 until 12 in the territories connected with the Hellenic history: the town of Taman in the Temriuk rayon (Hermonassa), Anapa (Horhippia), Gelendzhik (Torik), and Novorossiysk (Bata).
