Krasnodar, 5 April – Yug Times. A session of the regional commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and fire safety held last week in Krasnodar discussed the results of the fire safety exercises held in 26 shopping malls. Up to 600 staff and 82 vehicles had reportedly taken part in the exercises.
Announcing the results of the exercises, Vice Governor Andrei Alekseyenko noted: “A
number of drawbacks have been revealed that must be eliminated in shortest possible time.”
According to Head of the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Aleksandr Tararykin, the exercises showed that in a number of cases, the emergency exits were blocked with different foreign objects.
“A meeting with top managers of Krasnodar malls has been scheduled for April 5 to discuss and analyze in detail the current situation,” stated Mr. Tararykin.
