Krasnodar, 24 January – Yug Times. The results of the work of the regional Police Directorate were reviewed at a special session held last week in Krasnodar.
According to the statistical data presented by Directorate Chief Vladimir Vinevsky, in 2017 more than 33,000 offences were considered as solved, including 10 attempts of drugs smuggling, withdrawal of 51 kg of drugs, and 400 cases of corruption.
Speaking at the session, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev thanked the police officers for their conscientious work and stressed that it was they who managed to prevent the increase in crime in the region whose population continuously grew over the past years.
In his speech, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandr Romanov said that Kuban rightly bears the status of the country’s least criminogenic region. Public surveys also prove the fact that public trust in the police grows, said Mr. Romanov.
