Krasnodar, 28 December – Yug Times. The year 2017 was rich in events that were landmarks in the development of the Cossack movement: it was the year of the first All-Russia Cossack Forum that gathered delegates from all 11 registered Cossack hosts of Russia; the year of development of the law on development of Russian Cossack movement; the year of foundation of the Kuban Union of Cossack Youth; and the year when land parcels were for the first time allocated to Cossack communities to take up agricultural activity. Finally, this year a historic decision to organize the All-Russia Registered Cossack Host was taken.
At the summary Muster of the Kuban Cossack Host held on 16 December in Krasnodar, Ataman and the Governing Board presented their annual reports.
Governor Veniamin Kondratiev addressed the delegates with a video message. He noted that the Cossacks are integrated in all spheres of life in the region.
Speaking before his brothers Cossacks, Ataman Nikolai Doluda said: “Our Cossacks have a heroic past and glorious present — and with the Union of Cossack Youth we will for sure have great future. And this means that the Cossacks were, are and will always be in our blessed land of plenty!”
