Some executives of the US embassy and consulates have to leave Russia

Krasnodar, August 17 – Yug Times. Some executives of the US embassy and consulates in Russia will have to leave the country shortly.

US President Donald Trump’s reaction to the renvoi of the American diplomats has reportedly been sarcastically positive. He was quoted as thanking Russian President Vladimir Putin for saving his Government the money that otherwise were to be spent for the maintenance of the diplomats in Russia.

Now the total number of US diplomatic and consular employees in Russia has been reduced to 455.

Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that this decision had been caused by “a series of hostile moves of Washington,” and that it was a forced move aimed at the protection of lawful interests of Russia.

Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Duma’s International Affairs Committee, said that Mr. Trump’s reaction reminded him “putting a bold face on a sorry business.”
