"Turkish authorities have detained 1,563 military personnel across the country after a coup attempt overnight by a faction of the military, an official told Reuters.
"The soldiers attempted to use tanks and attack helicopters to overthrow the government," Reuters reported.
The total of 90 people was killed during the military coup attempt in Turkey, Anadolu reported on Saturday.

According to latest reports of the prosecutor’s office at least 60 people have been killed in clashes in Ankara and Istanbul.
Turkish authorities reported earlier 754 suspected of participation in the coup attempt were detained.
