Reportedly, the construction industry in the Krasnodar region is facing a number of different problems: several dozens of thousands of deceived shareholders, hundreds of unauthorized construction sites, bureaucracy and exorbitant greediness of the local government officials, etc.

On May 17, President Vladimir Putin presided over a session of the State Council which was devoted to the issue of improvement of urban development.

“People’s desire to buy a flat should by no means put them in the line of those who cannot afford to buy it even if they have enough money,” Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev was quoted as commenting on the issue. “The [so-called] shareholders’ construction activity will continue to exist, but the sense of builders’ responsibility before the investors should rise.”
