"Eurovision is an international contest and the hosting side should follow the Eurovision rules," Peskov said when asked to comment on Kiev’s statement on plans to "filter" participants from Russia.
"All the rest is in their competence," he told TASS.

Ukraine’s Jamala won the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday with the song called "1944" and the next competition will be held in Ukraine. Russia’s Sergey Lazarev who sang the song "You Are the Only One" came third.
Ukrainian MP Anton Geraschenko said in an interview with "Govorit Moskva" radio station shortly after the contest that the representatives of Russia who voice their support "for Russia’s aggression against Ukraine" will not be able to perform at the next year’s contest.
Only those singers who do not support Crimea’s reunification with Russia will be able to take part in the song competition, he said.
