Viktor Likhonosov, a famous writer from Krasnodar, turns 80 today.
They were republished more than once, and translated into English and French. His books were published in Poland, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
In his novel Out Little Paris, Likhonosov compared Krasnodar with France's capital, and since then many people have often figuratively been referring to Krasnodar as a 'little Russian Paris.'
Reportedly, Kuban Governor Veniamin Kondratiev has called Likhonosov and wished him "health and new creative summits," and many years of life.
Mr. Kondratiev was quoted as emphasizing that Viktor Likhonosov's sincere and original genuinely Russian works are of great importance for our country.
